Travel Tips

As a partner in the Know Before You Go campaign, we are working with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office to do all that we can to help British travellers stay safe overseas. Before you go overseas, check out the FCO website at www.fco.gov.uk/knowbeforeyougo. It is packed with essential travel advice and tips, and up-to-date country information.

If you are travelling abroad and off the beaten track, we would recommend spending a little time going over the latest advice about the country/place in question. Your travel insurance will provide you with vital support if necessary, but avoiding trouble always makes sense.

Things to check before you go

Country advice from the FCO,
Medical precautions needed,
Taking medicines out of the UK,
Laws and customs of your destination,
What to do if something goes wrong during your trip.
