See the game, the environmentally friendly way

National Express has bought 2,000 tickets to the eagerly anticipated rugby match on December 1st when the Barbarians will take on South Africa. The tickets were bought in order to encourage more sports fans to travel to the event using public transportation.

The leading coach company in the country will be providing a dedicated service to the game from a number of locations across the UK. The Rugby Football Union decided to sell the last tickets to the game to the company in order to help reduce traffic congestion around the stadium and lower the environmental impact of the match.

Marketing Manager for the RFU, Tom Hill, said: "This is great news for rugby fans. Due to the reduced train services to Twickenham station this weekend, the dedicated coaches will make it easier for fans to enjoy the game without any traffic hassles."

Using the coach service as opposed to driving, benefits not only those who will be attending the match, but also the local environment. "The services will also help reduce general traffic around the stadium on match days, which is good for fans, local residents and the environment," said Hill.

National Express provides services to Twickenham from 25 destinations within the UK and is able to drop off and pick up supporters at the match in the Stadium coach park just next to the entrance of the stadium.
