New software helps handle bizarre Travel Insurance claims

A new case management software solution is being employed by insurance companies to help them process travel insurance claims quickly. From the routine and mundane claims to the wild, unusual and the bizarre, AquariumClaims, developed by Aquarium Software, can handle the case quickly and efficiently.

More and more people are travelling today and most are making the right choice in taking out single trip travel insurance before heading abroad. With the increase in travel, however, has come an increasing number of strange insurance claims.

Times Money recently conducted a survey of strange insurance claims. In one case, a man claimed for a toupee which was lifted from his head and blown out to sea by the wind. In another, a couple who left their window open returned to find their belongings strewn around the room and the rainforest outside, after being wrecked by monkeys.

Insurance companies looking for fast ways to handle strange situations have turned to AquariumClaims claims management system.

Mark Colonnese, the product marketing director for Aquarium said: "The report from Times Money shows just how strange holiday claims can be, which may cause delays in the insurance companies dealing with the individual cases. This is where AquariumClaims delivers. The new easy-to-use features in Version 2.1 make it an even better product, delivering greater simplicity and reliability to the claims handling process, even for complicated or unusual claims."

For the backpacker in Southern India who required £2,800 worth of hospital treatment after being chased by a bull, AquariumClaims can help.
