Figures recently released from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) indicate that regional airports in the UK are becoming far more popular than the country's five biggest flight centers.
A total of 98 million passengers last year chose to fly from a regional airport in the UK rather than brave what has become a hectic and overcrowded atmosphere at the five airports in London. The numbers indicate a growth of four per cent over the last year.
At Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, London City and Stansted, passenger numbers increased by only three per cent over the same time period. A total of 137 million passengers flew from London last year.
