Flybe open executive lounge at Southampton airport

On April 3rd, Flybe, Europe's largest regional airline, opened a new executive lounge in Southampton Airport and launched four new routes from the airport.

Flybe's director of marketing Simon Lilley said: "Of our two million passengers going through the airport, half of them are business travellers. They are going to business destinations across the United Kingdom and Europe."

Accordingly, the new executive lounge can seat 50 business travellers and offers them state of the art computer facilities as well as all the usual comforts of executive class service.

Attending the opening of the lounge were the boss of the Saints football team, George Burley, and players Djamel Belmadi, Chris Baird, and Kenwyne Jones, who were all impressed with the facilities.

In addition to the 32 routes Flybe regularly flies out of Southampton, the airline recently added flights to Paris, Frankfurt, the Isle of Man and Nice. The airline's website is currently advertising its summer sale with fares as low as £27.99 one way, including taxes and charges.
