A company based in Birmingham was recently awarded a contract to supply coffee machines to the Middle East. The company, which is located on Birch Road East, Aston, will supply equipment to two cafes operating in airports in the Middle East.
Fracino is already a speciality business, as the only manufacturer of cappuccino and espresso machines in the UK.
Fracino first opened its doors in 1964 and has been working on its export market for several years together with UK Trade & Investment.
The Birmingham Chamber of Commerce recently visited Jordan and displayed Fracino's brochures, along with many other local companies, at a trade exhibition and hospitality show. The brochures were picked up by Alpha Retail who evidently liked what they saw.
Alpha Retail currently caters and provides retail to airlines and airports across the world. They will be providing six of Fracino's coffee machine packages to four new World Cafes located in the Queen Alia International Airport near Amman.
"We have just fulfilled this order for four coffee machine packages, said Angela Maxwell, Fracino's commercial director. We are now looking forward to building on this success with future business from the Middle East."
In addition to supplying these two airports in the Middle East, Fracino also exports to Thailand, Pakistan, New Zealand, Japan and a number of other countries, making about £2 million a year in exports alone.
