Heathrow voted most family-friendly international airport

A seven million survey undertaken by the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) has shown that Heathrow is the most family-friendly airport outside of the US.

The London-based airport was voted top of the international poll due to its baby feeding and changing rooms, age-specific play areas, free colouring books and gaming facilities, which make it so convenient for families travelling with particularly young children.

Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport polled second, Germany's Frankfurt airport third, London's Gatwick Airport fourth and Changi Airport in Singapore completed the top 5 listing.

Orlando International Airport, was voted top of the poll of family-friendly American airports.

As more and more people choose to travel with their children, the importance of this survey becomes more evident. Families can now choose those airports voted as more convenient and child-friendly when arranging holidays in order to make journeys more bearable and even fun for the children.
