EasyJet flies from Birmingham, its 79th airport

Luton-based carrier easyJet recently announced that it would add new flights to and from Birmingham International Airport. Initially, operations from the airport will connect the city with Grenoble and Geneva. By the end of the first year of operations, the airline is hoping around 45,000 passengers will be taking advantage of the flights.

David Osborne, a representative for easyJet said, "Our expansion in Birmingham reflects our commitment to growth across the UK - we recognise the strong demand for low fares with convenience and Birmingham's great potential."

Flights to Geneva will take off daily beginning on December 14th, this year. One way fares including taxes start at GBP22.99.

EasyJet will take off from Birmingham to the ski slopes of Grenoble twice a week beginning on December 22nd. One way fares including tax are set to start at GBP24.99.
"EasyJet's expansion from Birmingham International Airport is great news for skiers from the Midlands, giving them more choice and a brand new service to Grenoble, said Osborne. They now have the opportunity to fly to the major ski gateways for the French and Swiss Alps.
From December 13th onwards, Britons interested in skiing near Grenoble will also be able to fly with easyJet from Bournemouth International Airport.

With the addition of these three new routes, easyJet will now serve a total of 300 routes. Including Birmingham International Airport, easyJet now operates out of 79 airports in Europe.
