Passengers flying in and out of the East Midlands Airport should find it easier now to access information about public transportation options.
The new website has full information about making connections from the airport to the nearby towns of Nottingham and Leicester. Routes, timetables and fare amounts are clearly displayed for both buses and trains servicing the airport.
In addition to the public transportation options, the website also has information about the Nottingham Skylink and Leicester Skylink, the Derby Airline Shuttle and the Loughborough Airline Shuttle. Information for disabled travellers is also provided.
The bus partnership spokesperson for the airport, Kelly McHugh said that since more and more people are using the internet to find out about fares and timetables, "The Skylink website will make it easier for our passengers to find public transport information, as this has previously been accessed via various bus operator sites."
Visitors to the website can also sign up for Club Skylink, a project in partnership with Midlands Co-op Travel. Members are eligible for discounts on trips to the airport and on some local attractions. The 500th member to sign up for the club will win a free mini-break.
Bmibaby, easyJet and Ryanair are some of the many airlines operating flights from the East Midlands Airport. Ryanair recently announced new flights to Tenerife, Belfast City and Poznan, in Poland.
