
The first direct flights between Aberdeen airport and Turkey are set to take off this summer. On June 4th, Scottravel tour operator will launch the first of it's flights to Dalaman, Turkey. The flights will continue to operate three times a week until the end of July.
A spokesperson from the tour company said that the flights may be extended beyond July if they prove to be popular with Scottish tourists. In addition, the company is looking into other possible destinations in Turkey.
A spokesperson from Aberdeen Airport commented: this is the first time passengers will be able to fly from Aberdeen to Turkey and that is fantastic news.
